4 Simple Nutrition Rules for Weight Loss

By Craig Ballantyne In 2005 the USDA released a new food pyramid guideline to help people eat properly and control their weight. But honestly, it didn't impress me and it was very confusing. There really are only 4 nutrition rules for weight loss. And here they are... 1. Eat a lot of fibrous fruits and vegetables There are very, very few North Americans that eat enough fruits and vegetables. So if you do, you will be well on your way to fat loss. In fact, if you want to lose weight, its important to eat more than the recommended 5 servings per day. Aim for the top end of fruits and vegetables recommendations, and replace all your processed carbohydrates with healthier fruits and vegetables. In addition to being healthier, fruits and vegetables will also fill you up faster and longer. 2. Eat quality protein Protein helps control your appetite. You should aim to eat small amounts of protein spread over the course of the day. This will help your mental energy levels as well and prevent you from getting tired and hungry. Good protein sources include whey protein, fish (salmon, tuna), beef, chicken, and alternative meats such as bison and ostrich. 3. Eliminate all added sugar from your diet There is almost no redeeming quality to sugar. It can drain your mental energy, prevent you from losing body fat, and of course, give you cavities. There is no room in a weight loss program for added sugar. If you cut it out, you'll cut the fat. 4. Consuming only low-glycemic carbohydrates Avoid all foods from a bag or box, including all processed carbohydrates. So forget the obvious (chips, candy) and even the supposedly healthy (pretzels, instant oatmeal). You'll be less tired if you stick to yams and vegetables for your carbohydrate intake. That's it. Eat whole, natural foods. Don't eat it if God didn't make it himself! Craig Ballantyne is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and writes for Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Maximum Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers, and Oxygen magazines. His trademarked Turbulence Training fat loss workouts have been featured multiple times in Men%u2019s Fitness and Maximum Fitness magazines and all over the Internet, and have helped thousands of men and women around the world lose fat, gain muscle, and get lean in less than 45 minutes three times per week. Summer Skin Tips

By Gary Gresham Once again, winter has faded into Spring and Spring has burst into Summer along with Summer skin. Next comes the invincible Summer sun, your skin's arch-enemy, particularly if you play or exercise outdoors. Most people know that using sunscreen protection is essential. There are a number of ways to promote a healthy glow without exposing your skin to harmful rays. To help avoid Summer skin when playing or exercising outdoors on a hot, sunny day here are a few tips. Lightweight and light colored clothing combined with plenty of sunscreen protection on exposed and unexposed skin is a good way to protect yourself. If overheating isn't a concern, dark colored, tightly woven clothing is more effective at blocking UV rays. Light colored clothing lets the sun and UV rays reach the skin more easily. Another barrier against sun damage comes in the form of eyewear. Protect not only your eyes, but also the skin around them by wearing sunglasses that block 90 percent to 100 percent of the sun's UV rays. Always wear a hat. Though a cap may be more comfortable for jogging, try a wide brimmed hat that will shade your neck and face while gardening or walking outside. Now that you know how to protect the skin's surface, it's time to start thinking about what you can do to make a healthy glow from the inside out. You're already off to a good start with some form of exercise, which gets the blood circulating and delivers fresh oxygen to the skin all over your body. The next step is to drink plenty of water. Outdoor play or exercise, especially in the Summer, increases your risk of dehydration. This is one risk you don't want to take since it not only affects your performance and robs your skin of vitality, but also may be potentially hazardous to your health. Be sure to drink fluids before, during and after physical activity. To replenish your fluids after any outdoor activity, weigh yourself before you participate and then weigh again after. Any weight you lost is water and should be replaced by drinking two glasses (16 ounces) of water for every pound you have lost. Summer is a time for sun, fun and physical activity. Sipping on a cool drink, participating in your favorite activity and enjoying the long days of summer. No matter what you like to do, with a little insight and these few tips you can help alleviate the effects of Summer skin and make your Summer one you will enjoy. Best Ways to Lose Weight

By Oliver Turner Overweight can cause a lot of troubles to one personally alongside other health related issues. Studies have shown that overweight invariably leads to health issues such as hypertension, cardiac troubles, sleep apnea and diabetes. Further, being obese could hamper ones freedom to move, run, or sit comfortably in a standard chair. The only way out of this mess is to shed those extra pounds around your waist by embracing some healthy weight loss diet plan and follow it religiously. In the following paragraphs, youll see few important tips that could help one effectively reduce his/her weight to healthier proportions. Every healthy weight loss diet plan proposed by dieticians and nutritionists starts with a simple suggestion - reduce the food intake to the optimum amount. But it is the most difficult of the things to implement and it will take a lot of mental effort from your side to tune your mind to say NO to victuals. Reducing the food all in a sudden could adversely affect ones health. Hence reduction in food intake also means adopting a healthier and balanced diet schedule. As a rule of thumb, embrace a healthy weight loss diet plan that is rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products and whole grains, alongside drinking lots of water, at least 8-10 glasses a day. It would be prudent to chart a healthy weight loss diet plan for oneself than following text book quick weight loss programs such as Mediterranean Diet, Hollywood diet, lemonade diet or slim fast diet. And finally, backup your efforts with a strict fitness regime to burn away those extra calories from the body. Make it a practice to spend 30 min in the gym daily. A short stroll in the garden or in the street in the evening is also is advisable. To conclude, whichever healthy weight loss diet plan you choose, it will be hard work overall both physical and mental to shed those extra kilos you have gained over the years by hard eating. But the end result is worth all the efforts put in. And that will be a test of your mental resolve as well. We have made the most comprehensive research on diets. Your Best Man Speech Starts with the Plan

By Gary Stevens The order and content of the wedding speeches do not have to follow such a rigid structure as, perhaps, they once did. It is critical that you discuss the format of the speeches well in advance so that you can properly prepare. With that caveat I have prepared a general plan that you can follow for your best man speech. This will give you a good insight into what is expected of you and will allow you to focus your preparation and research. The introduction
Introduce yourself and thank the groom for the opportunity of being the best man. If you are replying on behalf of the bridesmaids then thank the groom for his words. Comment on the wedding
This can be a general observation, prepared in advance, such as a comment on the groom wearing a suit or an observation from the actual ceremony. Your relationship to the groom
Explain in more detail who you are and your relationship to the groom. You could say how you first met and how you feel about being asked to be the best man. If you are giving a funny speech then keep the first part sincere and gently ease into the humor. Tell some (humorous) anecdotes
During researching your best man speech you should have plenty of anecdotes to talk about. Do not necessarily restrict this to only the groom. You could talk about how the bride and groom's parent met, if there is a connection or co-incidence. Be careful not to be offensive - even if not intentional. Be nice to the groom
If you have just given a character assassination of the groom it is even more important that you re-introduce sincerity, prior to the toast - so find at least one thing nice to say about him! Pay a sincere tribute to the bride and broom
Give your personal thoughts and wishes for the bride and groom's happiness and future. Give the toast
Generally there will be one toast, to the bride and groom. If you are expected to give more than one then do not leave them all to the end of your speech. Haven't got a lot to say?
Do not worry! You can fill out your speech with more general observations (comment on your role as the best man, offer some thoughts on marriage), provide a date hook (a memorable historic event that took place on the same day) or read some cards from guests that were unable to attend. Garry Stevens is an authority on public speaking and has created a specialized package especially for giving a best man speech. The Truth About Life Experience

By Shubhanyu Jain We all have our schools. Then we move on to colleges. Here we make a choice; go for degree colleges or diploma colleges? If we choose a vocation where special training is required, we choose the former, whereas if the only thing required is a qualification, we choose diploma colleges. There is, however, a third school. Life experience degrees are all about practicality. It is all about *experience* gained in *life* and hence, life experience degrees. They reward the hands-on experience gained by an individual in his life and vocation. Come to think about it, for a given job, say, computer programmer, two kinds of people may apply one, absolute fresher who just got out of college with nothing to show but a piece of paper called degree, and the other is someone who is coding for years, a self-taught professional. Who would you trust more? Both know the languages of coding, and the self-taught professional gains in terms of having hands-on experience at coding, which the novice obviously does not. You would probably still go with the novice, just because he is *qualified*. I would say, it is not that he is *qualified*, it is just that he is *certified* qualified. This is where a life experience degree helps. Life experience colleges award degrees to such candidates who do not possess a traditional degree but are equally, and in most cases, more competent than their degree-d counterparts. These degrees attempt to bridge the divide a mere piece of paper creates, by handing out the same paper to the one who was denied of it otherwise but deserved it more than anyone. The Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia

By Vicheka Lay I invoke the genius of Constitution. (William Pitt, Earl of Chatham - 1777) Despite present image and discriminatory merits have made Cambodia one of the most stigmatized international actors in the world, this sovereign state still boasts one foundation for her general functioning. The addressed one foundation for general functioning of the state is the Constitution. The all-out purpose of this article is to analyze the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia; whether it addresses the Constitutional pioneers theory and other democratically valid eligibilities. Constitution is not just about listing from preamble and oath to the final provision, but there must be one or many absolute cores to convert a piece of writing, made by very few, into the Municipal God (Constitution) that the entire population must unconditionally abide by. This article will compare the common elements of the generally accepted Constitution to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The principle of sovereignty has made the Constitution of every world countries not definitively identical, but to be generally accepted, the Constitution must fulfill all the below criteria (with exception to few countries). I. Preamble: Comparing to education, preamble is like an orientation to urge the reader continue to the next page. Administrative functioning, political stance, civil rights and other statesmanship are not addressed in the preamble. Robert L. Maddex states that however, in the case of some Constitutions of communist countries, the preamble may reveal the motives for the document, which otherwise bears little resemblance to how the national political power structure actually operates (Robert L. Maddex, 1995, Constitutions of the World, p. xi). Preamble of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia states:
... awakened, stood up with a resolute determination to strengthen the national unity, to preserve and defend Cambodias territory and its precious sovereignty and the prestige of Angkor civilization, and to restore Cambodia into an Island of Peace ... we inscribe the following as the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The selected paragraphs of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia are to orient the readers to the next page. As we can see, the political system and other state of affairs are not mentioned in the Preamble contained in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Cambodia has now achieved the first common element of what I call the generally accepted Constitution. II. Fundamental rights: Most of the written Constitutions reiterate the list of fundamental rights, obligations and responsibilities of wrongdoing of any citizen, permanent inhabitants or anyone paying sojourn within the territory. Fundamental right is analogous to the U.S. bill of rights (Maddex). Fundamental rights and civil rights are usually deployed interchangeably. The list of fundamental rights is mostly surrounding freedom of expression, faith, assembly, association-establishment, private properties, compensation, economic perspiration and accountabilities. Referring to the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Chapter III, from Article 31 to 50, the rights and obligations of the Cambodian citizens are tabulated. In these articles, from the most basic (physiological) rights to responsibilities before the state of the Cambodian citizens are listed. The Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia does now fill the second criteria of the theory of generally accepted Constitution. And the last common element of Constitution is the structure of the government. III. Structure of the government: In the democratic or democracy-oriented countries, the government is usually divided into three separate branches: executive, legislative and judicial. To be precise, structure of government is the path on which the public affairs of one state is operated. Structure of government is also different between parliamentary system and presidential-style parliamentary system. In the case of Cambodia, the three branches of government is, according to the Constitution, separated (Article 51, paragraph 4). Chapter VII, VIII and IX of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia are all about the structure of the government. The Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia now reaches the final eligibility to be authentically accepted as the valid Constitution as per the theory of our Constitutional pioneer. There are still many debates and argument on whether the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia is truly democratic or not. Those interested in public affairs are making the public opinions get confused. Whether the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia is democratic or not, is the matters of politics, not the matters of law. We are doing legal analysis, but our mentality is focusing on politics; this has made the new interested individuals get even more confused and complicated. I do not dare to say that whether the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia is democratic or not, because I am not doing political analysis, but I dare to say that Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia does possess adequate criteria to be regarded as a generally accepted Constitution. Constitutional council of the Kingdom of Cambodia is the sole institution responsible for interpreting any law passed by the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Author of this article recommends those concerned to use the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia for any occasion. Anyone looking for a World-class Romantic Wedding! The Future of Healing...

By Bill Austin Your FUTURE is NOT in a doctor's office or a vial of prescription drugs. Western medicine has done a wonderful job in treating our symptoms and masking the pain of physical imbalances with drugs that cost a small fortune. Pain temporarily dissipates, perhaps, or symptoms lessen, but the root cause often remains. The sad news about this is, the older we get, the more well come to rely on expensive pills and the more frustrating time well spend in medical facilities. Unless Doesnt it make more sense to address the core issues that underlie physical suffering? This is where Energy Healing comes into play and can assist you. You can change from OK to Oh, wow! Almost everyone has experienced that feeling of hopelessly slogging through life, just getting by, or wasting their energy and talent. Problem is, people can go on for a very long time like that, just getting through, just doing OK. Many people, I think its fair to say, go on like this for a lifetime. The thing is, you dont have to approach life that way. No matter how many bad experiences, negative beliefs, episodes of hurt and anger are in your past, they dont have to dictate your life. They can be healed and cleared away, not through excruciatingly long-term and difficult periods of self-work but through a spiritual gift thats available to anyone. The gift of Energy Healing I personally believe that if our world sometimes gives us evil, disappointment, hurt, tragedy, grief, and hundreds of potentially devastating experiences, then the universe also provides help and a way for us to heal it. Energy Healing is like a gift, a secret code for unlocking and undoing the damage. Heres why energy healing works: Science has shown that everything is energy with a certain vibration and frequency. At birth, all of our systems, organs and energy fields vibrate at the level of unconditional love which is optimal for physical health and well-being. Throughout life, though, we begin to absorb the negative beliefs and sustain the shocks and hurts that block emotions and disrupt the energy field. Vibrations are lowered or changed, physical systems respond by setting up stress-level defenses or even resulting in pain or disease. The energy fields are further disrupted, creating a snowball effect and over time, the negativity and hurt is reinforced in the body. Energy Healing seeks to eliminate these blockages and negative cycles by restoring vibration and frequency of the energy field to the original pure, healthful state. Energy flows to positively affect emotions, outlook, ambition, ability and possibility in your life. More powerful than technology, more effective and pure than pharmaceuticals, more permanent than talk therapy, more life-changing than any other methods, Energy Healing helps you to clear the millions of negative thoughts, beliefs, emotions and attitudes that comprise the root cause of why you often feel ZAPPED and out of sorts. The help you need is finally here! If youre trying by sheer willpower to force yourself to have a better attitude, to do more, be more cheerful and enjoy yourself more, you know it just doesnt work. Its time to streamline and simplify by taking advantage of one of the great powers available to you Energy Healing! _________________________________________________________________ Bill Austin is a spiritual healer and teacher based in St Petersburg FL.
